It's actually easier than you think. When you make the game for PBEM (multiplayer --> PBEM) you load the scenario. At that point only 1 player (you) will be showing.
You can rename your own settings (the first player's) by clicking "rename". It will give a popup with fields as follows:
Customize Your Tribe
Name: (Your name)
Formal:
Noun:
Adjective:
Title:
You just fill in those fields as desired and click the circle.
To do it for other players is very simliar. Go to the player slot, select "add human player". The "Customize your tribe" popup will automatically come up and you do just like before. After you click the circle it will ask the gender in another pop up. Then you just repeat this for each player you add.
I believe that's should be all that has to be done since we arent messing with colors or anything else of that nature.
