Hey, I am about to move up in the demographic.
What can be done to reflect the aging populace and keep the charts up to date???

teenagers all the way! i think i'm one of the only extremely addicted teens here. Well i guess it depends on what you condsider addicted, but i guess have 1000+ games in under 5 months might fit in there. YIkes. But i have to say the people in school probably have less time then the old fogies Since they don't have a bed time or any of that other stuff the youg uns have.

I would have been till up 5 am if you hadn't eliminated me early in that ffa Sray. **** Jags. As soon as I spotted your border I was producing all units. Defending the first 2 stacks had me considering poping a temple but stack 3 was on me and natures clock was only delayed another 30 minutes for me to report then stare at the ceeling thinking "Was it possible for me to have fought off that attack any better!?! Sorry about your addiction Sray. Someone should start a thread about treatment plans for civaholics. I would but I don't have a civ problem. Oh wait, I did start the thread you know you have civ promlems when......

well you didn't miss much a_night, i elimed the rest of the peeps pretty quick after you the only thing you could have done differently was send some units to my cities which were both empty instead of sitting there waiting for the inevitable. I've got a few other hints up my sleave, but you'll have to talk to me to get those. sorry to end your night early though I'm still up and wishing i was in bed and its 1:45 pm now

I know lots of old farts that get off work & plop down on the couch for a 5 hour stretch watching some TV and sipping their geritol. It's good to see some of these ancient creatures stimulating their mind with some Civ.
Play Civ: keep your wits sharp, Old Timers!

Nickel, it's an analogy because Thruman was the oldest member within a group. At the time I believed I was the most senior of the ladder players. However, I no longer hold that distinction.

Youngun's - Just 'cause we're older (I'm 55) doesn't mean we have more time or can stay up later. I have obligations 3 weekday evenings each week and sometimes 4. I get in maybe 3 or 4 games a week and still manage to keep ranked between 60 and 180, depending on how long it's been since I played.
Dang! I wish I could play 10 - 20 games a week - probably be in the top 30 or so if I could. Oh, well! Think you have a hard time with your folks? Wait til you get married! A spouse have a LOT more control than parents ever did - but that ain't all bad!
Have a life? Yeah! I snow board, play 12-string guitar, work with copper, enamalling, AND I have a garden! I also make beer - and that's in addition to running a plumbing business with ten employees, teaching apprenticeship and plumbers' continuing education, and bowling. Wow! How DO I have time for Civ?
I guess, because I love the game and the contact with a really neat bunch of folks, I just make the time! I love this game that much. Old farts, UNITE!!
