Look there's got to be more current hosting information available than what's on this forum. 2004? Chrissake. Are those port forwarding numbers still valid? I've tried them in numerous combinations, and started hosting some games. Suddenly, and with no change in configuration, no games will connect, disappointing a lot of guests. I have run virus scans and defragmented my drive to no avail. Evidently, that was not the problem. I can confirm that the above port lists are not completely accurate, and there is conflicting information about how to configure your ports to successfully host games. Trust me, I've scoured for current port number lists and TCP/UDP settings, and there is no current info for C3C. Is this the end of the line? Doesn't anyone have any current and corrrect port forwarding lists, WITH TCP/UDP settings? Thanks in advance.

These are the ports I have open in my router and firewall...and they work for me:- UDP 6500 UDP 13139 UDP 2302 TCP 1440 TCP 28900 UDP 27900 TCP 6667 TCP 6500 TCP 29900 TCP 29901 TCP 3783 UDP 6515
They cover Civ and GS
All the best, it is a headache initially!

Well, i was able to host games again. Now, again, rather suddenly, i get error message : "Host Error: Players remain in GameSpy lobby." WTF?

C3C hasn't changed since 2004, and neither has the GS lobby, what is in this thread still is the "current" and correct info.

That error message has nothing to do with your router or ports. It can be rectified by restarting C3C.
