Unfortunately it's been a while since we last had one of those.
A Nation's Cup was announced for early 2006, postponed once or twice, then abandoned altogether. The problem seems to be that getting national teams/alliances to form takes a lot of time. First people need to be aware of the event, then some need to take the initiative to form national teams for their countries, then others need to sign up for those teams, etc. So it's much more complicated than the CCC, where teams already exist and dates are known a year in advance.
If someone would like to organise another Nation's Cup, make sure it is announced at least 2-3 months in advance and make a lot of publicity for it in the lobby.

For this, or any special event, to work it needs a CHAMPION. Somebody to organize it and generate interest. Maxfin was successful in doing this with the NC. Nobody has put on the mantle since.

you need more then 3 countries with 2 players on each team as well...

i tried... then the whole civ4players CCC was more "important" qoutish the admins... then the whole split happened.. i got my td abilities revoked... but i got um back now... so if i get enough peeps to tell me to try again.. seeing how its summer.. i'll do it.  the crazed capitalist da immo |

We have done two Ryder Cups. The first was organized and run by Revivalist, the second by me. It was agreed back then that the directorship would alternate between an N/A and a Euro.
We need a Euro to step up and run this!
