Having the last word

Ever notice how some threads that have seemed to have a life of their own can sometimes be shut down by a member with a particular knack for fabricating the last word on the subject?

It can be anything from a succinct summary to a statement so "out there" that no one knows quite what to say. Or it can be people have heard enough from you and dont want to elicit further posts from you.

I know I have thrown a few insights ( in my own mind only perhaps and a few clunkers out there that have shut down the odd thread.

A good recent example by another member is zhenon's last words on the old "Did america do the right thing"... (.... in demolishing hiroshima and nagasaki using uncoventional new means rather than the firebombing of Dresden and countless other major cities.)

WW2 was indeed hell.

The thread had a fair amount of potential energy stored up until zhenons remarkable:

"i once got busy in a burger king bathroom! "
