An explanation of this section of the forum.
I've always thought that the "rules" should be found in one consistent area whether that's in the forum or in the Rules Section on the CIV3Players League on Cases. Initially the rules were found on CIV3Players but over time other rules have been interspersed in forum subjects in the General section.
With the help of CS he created this section for the rules to be posted and discussed. I've searched out all discussions (I think) relating to rules and moved them here. A couple of the thread topics were locked so I've cleared some of the derogatory comments in them where a "ruling" was made.
By a way of standard I'd like to see that when a new rule is placed it is either added to an existing thread with an appropriate number or it is marked here with an explanation mark as the icon. It should then be stickied under the original rules. That way people can review rules easily. I personally think that a rule when declared should be added to a topic continued the rule numbers but I didn't want to do that without the admins / community approval. Thus I've left as separate exclaimation mark posts.
Items that appear to be rules but are important discussions are marked with question marks. The rules themselves should be largely void of discussions. They can be in a separate thread.
I hope this makes life easier for folks and especially noobs for learning the rules of the ladder.
I'll leave it to SPM to perhaps post a link in the rules section on Cases that are specific to our league to this forum section. I moved the original rules over "as is" with the exception of some formattting and the addition of a title called Game Play Rules and Conduct.
I'd like to suggest that although most suggestions are put in the suggestion area section, those specific to rules are kept here and marked with a lamp icon.
