As many of you know I've been handling the non reports there past few weeks. In 3 weeks there have been over 260 non reports with approx 40% of them forced and assigned a penalty. That's unfortunate.
Considering though the number of games that are played, however, the number of non reports represent less than 10% of all games, so thats good. However as our ladder grows handling non reports is something that begins to get more challenging so I am asking for a little cooperation from the ladder community in helping me help you.
For instance each day I have anywhere from 25 to 50 emails regarding non reports. I'm asking now for a few small favours from the ladder community to make it easier for me in handling non reports:
1) Before you file a non report wait 24 hrs for the player to report. If they haven't, then send them a polite email. Then and only after another 24 hrs file a non report.
2) When you file a non report please include:
a) the correct match date
b) the date you reminded them to report
c) the players who were in the game
d) the circumstances why you are filing. ie. Player A said thats BS and dropped. We went back to the lobby and waited but he never returned.
3) When you receive the non report email do not reply to me saying you are full of #%$#@x. My email address only is used as an intermediatory. If you have a complaint send it to the player who filed it against you. All you need to do is say I dispute the match because of a reason. (i.e. the game was scrapped, that's not how it happened Player B won and I reported to them etc etc.) Even better if you actually provided proof that support your dispute.
4) I'll repeat this one again ... If you have a comment directed to the player that has filed the non report send it directly to him or her. I really don't care whether you will report but you consider player A a #$#@#$ retard.
5) When I ask that you provide proof when the match is disputed please don't tell me to jump off a #$#@%4 cliff. That doesn't help your case.
6) Please don't file multiple non reports for the same game. I wait 48 - 72 hrs now before processing the non report. I was doing it in 24-48 hrs however some of the other admins thought that was too quick. When I process the non reports, I look at the losing players name and if they have not reported nor disputed the match, I immediately force the report and file a penalty.
7) If you report you don't need to let me know. It just fills up my inbox. I have to validate the report anyway. Thank you for reporting but don't say, (I repeat again) "hey sorry #$#@# all you had to do U2 is email and remind me " Ah sorry I didn't file the non report ... direct your comments to the player that filed it. They never see your comments if you send them to me.
8) To dispute a match please put disputed in your reply on the subject line. Then copy the player that filed the report. I will then send a note to the player that filed saying I need some proof. Placing the dispute on the subject line will really really help me because then I can have an outlook rule that will put them into a separate inbox.
9) Proof of a win
a) another person in the game saying hey player A did win.
b) a screen shot of you winning or the other player losing, a chat in GS, a chat in the game
c) a saved game
Thanks for listening and playing the ladder ... now on to yesterday's non reports
