LOL, they musta used bleach when they brainwashed this one. The world needs more Jimmy Carters and a negative number of George Bush's and a negative infinity number of Dickless Chaney's. Bush and Chaney represent all that is wrong and back wards with the world. "Hate" has so blinded this lib, he believes JC was a great president. Notice the "Dickless" comment, likely a result of a porn addiction. He was so great, he lost to Reagan in one of the worst landslides ever, 44 states to 6.

Since Mr. Carter was thrown out of office by the American people in 1980, he has spent his post-presidential years lecturing others on morality. The same year Mr. Carter lost a democratic election, Mr. Robert Mugabe ascended to power in a violently flawed one. Yet over the past 27 years Mr. Mugabe has escaped being a target of Mr. Carter's frequent hectoring.
Rather than criticizing the American and Israeli governments for their stance towards Hamas, perhaps Jimmy Carter ought to focus his efforts on how to rid the world of the murderous despot in Zimbabwe whom he helped create.

Here's a liberal tryin to talk to talk down to someone all smart style... you still don't seem to grasp the concept that evolution is change over an extremely long period of time. The speed of evolution = the rate of environmental change. You just assume it takes "an extremely long period of time." Which is what? A million years? ten million? a billion? You best put this statement back in your ass where you got it. Mankind has gone from a "primitive" animal, to a space faring civilization in 10,000 years. Just think, In the time earth has been here, how many civilizations could of existed, and left, leaving a totally pristine earth behind. Once again, a bunch of nothing. The fact is, most climate change is drastic. Look at the graphs. Earth becomes a jungle, with no ice, ruled by giant cold blooded lizards, when its not effected by a volcano/asteroid/meter/solar event. How does this guy know that we came from monkeys? Maybe monkeys came from us? Or maybe we are just 2 different types of monkeys. Maybe we where all put here by aliens to create a reality TV show. Its "climate change" now, not "global warming". See, if the planet was constantly getting warmer, they could say, next year will be "X" amount hotter. Then we could go measure and see. But this is not the case. In fact, it keeps getting cooler lately, so they had to switch to "climate change". This way, if it gets warmer or colder, they can blame "you" for it, and tax "you" accordingly.

i dont have the time or the motivation to correct your complete misunderstanding of natural science. i suggest a book or a college course instead of an argument on a dead forum.

There has been no evolutionary change to the mind or body. Why we have gone from a "primative" animal to a space faring civilization is due to a "ratchet effect" -our ability to pass on knowledge from one generation to the next. The GaySatan wrote: The fact is, most climate change is drastic. However, this may, or may not be caused by man. This still does not change the fact that the earth is warming.

Humans been the same gene wise for about 100,000 years. Circumstances made humans successful. A "rapid" change in the environment. Some kind of earth wide event killed off most of the dinosaurs. We probably started off as rodents. Otherwise, the reptilians would of kept advancing genetically. They would of developed intelligence, which would of make us look like Cardasians or something today.
Lame response. The "idea" I present here is that, if earth does nothing but spin around the sun, without a major event, the average temputure will be much higher then it is today. Earth will aways trend toward returning to its jungle past, do to its proximity to the sun.
I, for one, think most mammals originated from lizards that lived in warm/hot climates with an over abundance of food. Monkeys, humans, dogs, cats, are are very similar to rats. I suggest to you that a majority of mammals can be traced back to 1 early successful warm blooded lizard.
The earth is warming. Its coming out of a major ice age. Not to long ago, the planet was ruled by Woolly Mammoths and saber tooth tigers. The era of the Giant mammals. What happened to them? It got warmer. Allowing more insects and parasites to survive. And the Mongolian republicans were over hunting and polluting.

Strange - I seem to remember that Jimmy was a white man? Or is he the one holding the camera? Jimmy Carter refused to acknowledge the first elected president of Zimbabwe and propped up the marxist who now holds that office. Maybe he wanted somebody who could beat his inflation record. Zimbabwe's inflation is 10,000%. Life expectancy for males is 37. Read this account: www.nysun.com/opinion/carters-role-in-zimbabwe/58232/

The situation in Rhodesia towards the end of the Ian Smith era was considerably more complex than that, and Mugabe had massive popular support at the time. The election of Josiah Gumede (with Mugabe and Nkomo not being allowed to run) was hardly democratic and resulted in a bloody civil war, which people like Carter and Lord Carrington tried to stop via diplomacy. You know, diplomacy, this weird thing where you talk to people instead of occupying their land and stealing their natural resources.

I agree the situation was complex and chaotic. Nevertheless, Carter is responsible for what Zimbabwe has now.
