Nothin here but a bunch of people callin people names. The "civ 4" liberals provide spirited debate, on point, on issue.(most of the time  ) No wonder why you people still play this game. "civ 3" is checkers, "civ 4" is chess. |

Civ 4 is chess? Yes, slaving your cities every 2-3 turns takes alot of strategy This being said, we have many wondrous, eloquent speakers here, simply not much to say after 6 years  |

Most of the members here have played both games....as a matter of fact a lot of the people posting here were beta testers of civ4 including myself, the way your "rook" moves is due to the input we had when the game was being developed. We have long put aside the who is smarter, which game is better argument. My question is if the civ4 players are smarter and provide an more spirited debate why are you posting here and by all means feel free to return to the more stimulating exchange. |

maybe in single players civ4 its better than civ3...but l dunno cause since l start play on line l never plate sp again.....so l never test civ4 in sp.....but l tray it in Multi player...all GC moved to Civ4 at the start ...we won first CCC if u look the history....but then all GC moved back to Civ3 like almost all civ3players...the best think in Civ3 that gives adrenaline and a lot of strategy was removed like double move, boat attack, sentry net.

I've been told, by my friends in the know, that the civ3 and civ4 leagues might be combined. We all might be on one big happey forum. I recognize some people from here. I know some people still play both games n what not. I made this thread as a joke. I wanted people to challange the ideas I brought, but they rather attack me personally. IDC, I can hang in the hottest of rap battles. I was hop[ing to ignite some good debate.

Yes that's a problem, i rarely get so much adrenaline on civ4 than i had on civ3 but maybe because i started to play on civ3, dunno. About boating yes you right, i mean, on civ3 you make lot of kill by boats in ancient, what you cant really do on civ4. But on civ4 you have great boat battles and kills too on later era, medie, reny, indus etc... About the double move well, even in 8 sec some players dont have time to move, i cant imagine them playing less these 8 sec lol Anyway ya this 8 sec delay wasnt fun at the start, now well, we play with it. About sentry ya i hate the fact that you dont really need it, your culture is so huge, you can see everything really easily, no really surprising attacks or sneacky kills as on civ3. Ya some bad points for civ4, but civ3 get some too. And what you cant remove to civ4 is the teamer system, really really better than civ3 where you dont see where are your teamate, where you cant tech as a team etc... I saw on civ4 coordinated attacks as you'll never see in your life, when all 3 players on a same team attack a same player coordinating pillaging road, fast moving, killing units around, isolating the city, f**king the auto-move etc... The teamer system on civ4 is an enought reason to play it. The only thing i miss is the future regicide, but working on it ;D |
