Map grid by myrock <-- CLICK LINK Save in folder C:\Program files\Infogrames Interactive\civilization3\arts\interface Click yes to replacing old file. Done! All you have to do for this to work is restart the game if it's already running.

Well, I could only find the "box left corner" file which I am supposed to replace with this new one here: program files\firaxis games\civilization III complete\Art\Interface. so I tried to save the file there, and it told me, "Save As; box left color.pcx; This file is set to read-only.; Try again with a different file name.". So I am still stuck with no grid. Sorry I am being so difficult.

Hmm seems you using different game version? firaxis games instead of infogrames interactive and civilization III complete instead of Civilization III ??
correct path should be : C:\Games\Infogrames Interactive\Civilization III\Art\interface
but maybe try to change properties of the file: right click on the box left color.pcx file choose properties and unclick the " write protection" for the file?

Note: Egenskaber = properties and skrivebeskyttet = write protection. Otherwise try rebooting and make sure civ hasnt run yet.
