Is the CCC fine for all. or just the super clans

I'm not sure what you mean by "Super Clans" but it only makes sense that you should at least have enough members to play in all the events. How is a 2 person team going to play in the 3 v 3 or 4 v 4 games? Plus a lot of the events overlap. If you are going to play it should at least be possible for you to win even if you realistically don't have much of a chance.

Just do what LoD and PIG did a couple CCC's ago and join up with another smaller clan to make a team until you have enough members on your own. Or just recruit some newbies I'm sure there are several out there that would jump at the chance to play in the CCC but have not been recruited by any of the larger clans yet.

Dear Friends:

If you look at the roster size of previous CCC winners you'll see that a smaller team can win. While most clans have membership in the "teens" - several times a clan has won or come in 2nd with only 6-8 players competing.

I don't think 2 people constitutes a clan, by anyone's definition. However, we are planning a World Pairs Championship this spring, which will be a CCC like event for 2 person teams.

well i can see where rambo comes from

even NoD has had trouble fielding teams due to inactive members - tho at the same time we have won with only 6 players playing all weekend

the problem is that all events n saturday overlap - so u need something like 11 players available at the same time

also event 3 is a big pain the arse every CCC even though we have american and european membership

Rambo(He-Man) I believe that the current limits on number needed to enter is ok the way it is. Esp. with Events overlaping.
I think this was started because SDP dosn't have enough to enter this CCC. Try recruiting more. LAW started about same time as SDP and we are now at 12 with plans to enter CCC.
When recruiting be nice and don't forget to keep in touch with your new members. So that they don't decide to join LAW instead. But if you don't want to take my advice don't. You'll just save me the time of looking for ppl interested in joining a clan, because I can just steal them from you.

Bottom Line

Just because you can't get enough members to enter don't try to ruin it for everyone else

The point is that a 1-4 man clan could enter the ccc
not that i have a problem with getting members if i cared to take the time, i just ask for fun and dont mean any thing by it, the clan is mostly for fun and i could not care if it was big or small as long as i am in it.

and if i where to start a real clan it would take so mutch time to start it and get Players that can ceep up with me as there leader.

and it would be of no point to me to use even a h a day to get those new mebers. not to say i ahve to be ncie when i dont feel like it.

and dont be some rude i could beat a 4 man Law team by my self if it where not for the points, and a bit more than 90 turns.

@rambo a clan isnt a 2-4 man team - it is a clan.

But I m really not sure if the 4 events an Saturday nearly at same time are a good idea - 16 clan times 11 required people = 171 ladder people playing needed + some subs - think I never entered gs and saw more than 150 users on - most times less 100 - so it wont be easy to fill all events with all clans - thats not good imo -

proly I should have posted this in the ccc section.

Some event on Sunday morning or during Saturday (Europe times) or even Friday night could take the pressure away - so both big clans and small clans with addicted players could have a better shot

true - still with a bit more split timetable a 9 man clan could work - you need at least 9 players as you need dem in finals

I dont say I want a split timetable - I just see that there could be problems with that many players needed at 1 time
