You can change YIM preferences to stop the messages when people come and go, and other annoyances. YIM does take up memory of course and use CPU but I haven't seen it chew up anything significant on my machine to cause a delay. The way it packages the chat is minimal ip overhead now.

YIM crashed me all the time. I don't have that problem with teamspeak. The voice quality is better and lag is much reduced.
B2C uses teamspeak as well. Maybe GC and us can convert you bastages. ;D

Try it, you'll like it. ;D
TS allows seperate channels, has great sound quality, doesn't cause lag or crashes, and it doesn't come with all of the overhead of Yahoo.

YIM used to crash me all the time as well. Since B2C switched to TS a month or so ago, I haven't had any major problems with it.

I have been using voice programmes for a few years and yes teamspeak is superior to YIM, but far superior to those 2 is skype. Which does everything YIM does, but you can only have 5 people on confrence calss so is less than TS, but the sound quality is far superior with no need for seperate serves it dosent cause lag and is free. Also it can be used to make normal phone calls which are charged at local rate. It also works on apple mac which TS dosent and has diffrent oprogrammes for diffrent operating systems so it dosent matter if you havent got windows. If you wish to download skype its at just type in skype in your google search engine
