well is clearly written that in the second link i gave you is a DSlink.. btw, it is saying u missed a parameter..
i help you out though, but i need some answers:
1) seems u can join your router settings by browser, isn't it? 2) in your LAN (local area network) all computers got a fixed ip? i mean addresses like this: 192.168.x.x ? isn't it? 3) is there in your router section an integrated firewall? is it switched on or off?
thx

ok so.. write down your address: I assume is 192.168.0.2 (just goes on: start -> programs -> command prompt.. digit ipconfig, first line is your lan address).
Then access throughout your browser your router settings (seems you know how to).
Then go to services page (NAT).
Simply add a rule for each port u need for civ3.
3783 27900 28900 29900 29901 13139 6500 2302
in this way:
On NAT rules push add, then in this page (http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/DSLink/200e/200e5.jpg)
put:
some rule ID (be carefull that doesnt exist yet). RULE FLAVOR IS RDR. put your LOCAL address on Local address FROM and TO, so 192.168.0.2 (that i assumed is your local address).
leave global addresses on 0.0.0.0 form. Then on Destination Port From and To start putting the port civ needs. 1 rule 1 port. put same port on local port.
Add a rule for every port u need.
In case made some screnshoot of your router settings, each page we need. (just push "stamp" when u are over a page, then use some graphic tool like paint and push ctrl and V in the same time, save it as a jpeg and send it to me gianpaolo_dn at yahoo dot it)

If your computer isn't set on a static ip it changes alot. So you have to make sure that the ip rules you set match the ip ur computer currently has. ie
My house has a wi-fi connection with multiple modems connection on the router. Basically the last number changes by when you sign up. So sometimes my computer is .1. but i turned it on later it may be .5 So you always have to doulbe check and make sure they match.

Anyway, thx for helpin. i didnt catch that 0 address.. u should have on your windows machine something fixed. 192.168.1.8 like u said (u have to have that on your machine and then u can use it on the router.. if not its totally useless what we are doing here)

So what your saying is that they can see your ping now also?
If so try adding these two ports also. *i happened to have two more then what was listed. I wrote everything thtat was listen in the manual
6515 6667
Those are two additional ports that i use from master's list. and i can host fine.
