Just curious as to how this was working out for those involved. I really liked the idea, but unfortunately didn't see the thread till you folks had already started...thinking of starting up another one if it seems to be working well for you guys though.

still very early racoon
one of my starts is pretty bad, one is pretty good things like meeting and getting tech trading going will be important
perosnally i think PBEM is a great format for RnR due to the amount of thinking and consideration even at early stages

I have been playing epics 1v1 with a good friend with RnR. We set the difficulty pretty high and have had to work togetyer (usually) with a good or average start just to stay alive. He's better at it than I am and comes to rescue me when I falter, then we consolodate power and work to become world powers. The AI is no pushover at Regent or Monarchy levels.
Once in a while we get a GREAT start, and it is like a different game, someone can explode and just run rampant. It's very fun, I haven't slept hardly for the last couple of weeks... hehe

I wanted to remind you all that I will be leaving town for the week, starting early Tuesday, Nov 23rd and returning Dec 2. I hope to get and to play turns while I am gone, it should be possible, but we will be very busy.
I'm sorry for any inconvenience this might cause you all.

No worries GC.....December is busy for many or us.
I do wonder however where the last save is. Sometimes pbem's get stuck because someone doesn't know they are supposed to have received it.

I am back and ready to play! I had a great time. I don't think the turn is stalled at me though. The last one I got and sent on seems to be #3 and I had gotten that, played it and sent it on before I left. I had a wonderful time and the Lord spoke and I am a new person...

Sorry, I seem to have been filing them differently than some of my other games and confused myself... Did you send this file along with another one in the same email? Perhaps you could send it separately again and in the future, so that I can file them in my email separately and won't get confused. I am having trouble finding it - if you are talking about #7? I see where I sent #6 on 11/18 before I left. Well, a few days and I will be back in the swing of things at home. It was a simply wonderful time with my friends, I only stayed up until 5 am almost every day and slept at least 5 hours most nights... hehe
