The attack(s) will come after the US election, before the inauguration.

Not if the President of our country has a brain.

The attack(s) will come after the US election, before the inauguration. this is already being talked about in the news reports, if Obama wins the election, the Bush will bomb Iran...

Precisely the way vindictive little kids in a kindergarten playground would act.
As for US presidents and grey matter, they haven't had a fully functional brain between them for the last 2-3 decades. We've seen it all, from retards and simpletons to Alzheimer patients. If world peace depends on the brains of US presidents, I'd say we are doomed.

Anyone else up for making a joke out of bombing poor innocents?
Is collateral damage a euphemism that is supposed to assuage the feelings of guilt when my government murders little babies?

Collateral damage is ok and acceptable as long as we are fighting evil.

..and as long as we don't count the babies we kill; or, we can always just call them "terrorists", and write it off as mission accomplished.
Yet another recent story broke of our soldiers murdering innocent Iraqi civilians, then lying about it to cover it up.
Somebody needs to teach us that being the "good guys" does not mean murdering innocents and covering it up with lies.
Ah, whatever, lets just make jokes about it, and go on with our lives....

This is what happened when one unilaterally goes to war. One needs the backing of the UN and other worldly organizations to ensure post-war civilities, order, human rights etc. You cannot leave a bunch of 22 year old marines as the "law". These are kids, not only kids but kids who were bread to kill and ask questions later. A victorious soldier ought not be a policeman but the US got no one to take over the policing of the area as the world disagreed with their incursion to start off with.

avo you have no idea what you are talking about...you could never understand what its like to always be on edge. you have no idea what it is like to have to worry about if someone is gonna blow themselves up on you or shoot at you...the press always reports the 1 or 2 times a month someone is shot on accident...we dont talk about every individual IED that goes off or every time that we are shot at...democrats always use rare incidents to back there crap about pulling out...republicans are just as bad....partism is worst thing that has happened in the usa....gw agrees with me...thats george washington. Also one last thing i wanted to say about avo knowing nothing about the military....there is a lot of young people int he military but all senior NCOs are usualy in there late 20s and 30s. We dont shoot randomly we have to have there permission to fire and they need senior Officers permission to give us permission.

you have no idea what it is like to have to worry about if someone is gonna blow themselves up on you or shoot at you... I'm afraid that's precisely the point Avo was making: that perfectly normal (if not very bright) young men when confronted with guerrilla warfare will at some point start murdering indiscriminately. This shouldn't come as a surprise, and certainly not to Americans - after all Vietnam wasn't all that different.

Yep, war suxxxx. People die, civilians, kids, old grannies; they all get caught in the crossfire.
But, this has been the same for the entire history of the world. Sure it's ugly, but it is reality.
