The new system they are using is quite handy actually. It will pretty much eliminate the non-reporting issues.

I guess I need to get my ass over there and see what they've done.
My initial reaction was much like Bonehead's. I'm trying not to allow their arrogance get in the way of a fair evaluation of their system.
Questions:
Does their system allow for players to play ANY version or mod of civ, or does it have to be civ 4?
If some of us were to join their group and sill play only C3C, how would our stats pool with those of the civ4 community?
Is there a possibility of a multiple ladders in their system?
Who would be thrown more into chaos by a mass "invasion" by C3C into "civplayers?"
Y'all know me and you know know how much I love this game and this ladder, but IF they have truly come up with something better that will still support the version we prefer, I think it deserves a look. I guess we also need to carefully examine the politics and administration as well.

I'm sure we would have our own section. It does not make sense to have a mix of civ3 and civ4 players in the same pool, we would never play hehe. For now I say we wait a bit and see how the initial phase goes, let the C4P community deal with eventual problems

l heard a rumors that they offer to our Adm to join in the project ....u can find something more here civ3players.proboards70.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1186833542but dunno what real happened....ù l still think that civ3 and civ4 are 2 different game so l m not very enthusiast to have a join...btw this can be an opportunities to take a decision and solve some of our problem(for example future match report) imo in this moment we need to improve something....l m not say to change myleague or move there ..but only to think and maybe find a good solution

I think the offer is that since they have already done the hard work in building a better mousetrap they could also build a replicant for us without too much trouble.
If this is what's being suggested there would be no need to "blend" identities or data.

I think the blend would be more like it is on apolyton where they have a civ3 section and a civ4 section.

Their homepage stinks!!! it is so hard to read with that nasty color font and creepy back ground.
Question the new system does it allow the winner/s to report for the loser/s? If not, that is what we need.

yes the winners report, if collaborated by 2 others then the reports go through automatically.

To help with some of the questions that have been asked here.
The report structure is a winner reports and 50% of the losers need to confim the match to make it official (in the case of a duel the loser confirms) If after 3 days no one has confimed nor contested a match it will go thru automatically.
The site theme can be changed. There is the C4P blue theme as well as a White theme. If C3P choose to, then we would work on a C3P theme as well.
The current plan if C3P and C4P join on one site is that we will use only one member database for both games. On the profile page then you would be able to select to be listed on the C3P standing, the C4P standings, or both. The administration of each would still fall to the seperate admin team for each game.
There are other benifits to the new site other then a new report structure. The forum is integrated into the site so no need to make a person register on 2 different sites. We also support clans and have integrated a CCC system into the tourney system. The site is also availabale in 4 different languages, although all the translations are not complete.
Anyone who has any questions about the new site, I will be more then happy to try and answer them. If you guys want to hope over there and see what is going on, feel free to make an account so you can see everything and get a feel for the mechanics of it.
Thanks
DTA

ehhhh so this is over.. good.
I'm sad i did not finish mine, I'm sad someone acted weird. I'm happy about a new working system. As I already told you avo and all other admins, is up to you. The system is better then cases one and it, combined with fixed ladder name (your ladder and gs name has to be equal) can bring to 0 the non report issue and the impersonating problem.
