A few months back I suffered a small stroke. It's affected my motor control. It's getting better though so maybe in the future I'll get back in. Overall, I'm ok. I wish you the best and hope you feel better soon.

Yes I hope you make a full recovery Whip.
Also just a note on CivPlayers, we now have ironed out all the problems in the CCC code and the next CCC should be much smoother than the last one.

We can translate the forums fairly easily into Spanish but we would need a bilingual Spanish/English speaker to translate the main league interface. There is really little from keeping us from translating the league sight into any language if we have the volunteers willing to help us.
As for when this can happen, that is more upto you guys and your admins, we are at the 95% code level in all areas of the current league, we could certainly start planning for a target date to bring Civ3 players to CivPlayers. For most areas we would just be cloning code and setting up some Civ3 specific stuff, as well as giving everyone a generic welcome page with the options for selecting Civ4 or Civ3, and of course the behind the scenes Admin and TD code. Planning could start anytime in the next month or so, but the first step has to be a Civ3Players official decision to do this, ie a vote or consensus or some other method.

Let us wait and see a few more months. Our game, all be it awesome, is an old one. I fear moving everything, losing stats etc will only hurt us at this point.
I am only processing 2-3 non reports per day. So either these are no longer much of an issue or people are not filing them.

I am only processing 2-3 non reports per day. So either these are no longer much of an issue or people are not filing them. Yes I realize that there is alot of history in the HoF here, 17 players with more than 5000 games played etc, but I think you should also consider that moving to a league that the skill based rank system actually means something to players because it is a true indication of skill can simulate the ladder and bring back players that stopped playing because of Cases limitations. I did for the Civ4 crowd, we now have over 600 ranked players now. And I'm pretty sure, that while there is some pain during a transition, that in the long run you would end up far exceeding the 200 ranked players that you have now. I guess that in the end the decision rests on whether the community is happy with the status quo or is willing to take the risk to possibly improve the community, but leave behind the comfort factor. As long as you put singleplayer games and team games in the same category the ranking system has no value.

At this point our rank system does not fill the purpose of identifying world champions. It does however still offer a place of accountability where players know ancient games will see their course to the end. I could be wrong but rank matters little to most of us at this point. It's knowing we got a three hour game to play and entertain us is what matters.
